KPMG UK: Effectiveness of operational contracts in PFI

This report by KPMG and the Business Services Association examines the effectiveness of operational contracts in UK Private Finance Initiative projects.

The report presents the results of a survey of the success of Private Finance Initiative projects. It focuses on the delivery of contracted services rather than on the construction phase.

Information for the report was collected via an online survey of 93 contract managers in the private sector across a range of PFI services.

This report discusses its findings from the survey under broad themes of relationships, operational performance, service levels and deductions, innovation, benchmarking, contract wording, health and education comparisons and risks and issues for the future.
