The independent Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee was established to assist the Commissioners as IA’s Accountable Authority to satisfy its corporate governance obligations and responsibilities, including understanding the business; financial reporting. Membership and qualifications of members of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee are set out below.
Dr Julie Anne Caldecott (Chair)
MBA and awarded Peter Clemenger Memorial Prize for Best Final Year and Best First Year Student. B.Med and B.Surgery (hons). Member- Australian Institute of Company Directors
Dr Caldecott is an experienced Non-Executive Director across government and private sector organisations (infrastructure, insurance, healthcare, aged care, disability and regulation). Former Vice President/Partner with The Boston Consulting Group – extensive strategic and growth advisory experience with a focus on delivering new operational models and business transformation.
Dr Caldecott is currently a member of the Victorian Infrastructure Development Authority Advisory Board and Chair, Program Audit Risk and Integrity Sub-Committee, Chair of the Compliance and Quality Sub-Committee of the Victorian Registration and Qualification Authority.
Louise Dudley
Bachelor of Commerce, Chartered Accountant, and former audit specialist. Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and CompIEAustEngExec.
Ms Dudley is an experienced Non-Executive Director and has served as Chair of Finance, Audit, and Risk Management Committees in several Board roles applying her expertise in finance and risk within complex critical infrastructure businesses, local government and the financial services sector. Prior to that Ms Dudley was a successful CEO with extensive operating experience in a critical infrastructure business and responsibility for managing the capital structure and P&L with revenues of +$1.4 billion and assets of $6 billion and controlling annual building and digital programs totalling +$350 million.
Ms Dudley is currently a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Finance, Audit & Risk Committee for WaterAid, a Board member of WaterStart Nevada (USA) and Australia and a Policy Committee member of the of the Finance, Audit &Risk Committee for Chief Executive Women. In addition to her governance roles, Ms Dudley consults to Aurecon Group, People Talking and CollaborativeIQ.
Sachi Wimmer
Executive Masters in Public Administration, Masters of Environment Law and BA Science (hons). Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Ms Wimmer has over 25 years’ experience working across the Australian government spanning diverse and complex industry sectors including aviation, national security, logistics, maritime, immigration and offshore oil and gas. She has significant financial management experience in large and complex programs and budgets, extensive regulatory expertise, strong risk management and regulatory compliance skills with significant experience developing risk frameworks and compliance monitoring strategies.
Ms Wimmer is an Assurance Reviewer for the Department of Finance and Deputy Chair, Canberra Girls Grammar School Board. She was previously Chair, Finance, Risk and Audit Committee CGGS and prior to that independent Chair Risk Committee CGGS.
