Infrastructure Australia today announced the awarding of two important contracts.

ACIL Allen Consulting Pty Ltd has been engaged to work with Infrastructure Australia in undertaking a comprehensive audit of existing nationally significant infrastructure across Australia.

The results of the audit will help develop a 15-year project pipeline to address potential future infrastructure gaps.

The audit will bring together the work already undertaken by Infrastructure Australia including the recently released ‘State of Play’ report, ‘Urban Transport Strategy’, the 2013 National Infrastructure Plan, and the National Ports and Land Freight strategies.

ACIL Allen has significant experience in economic forecasting and providing advice to government and industry across the all infrastructure sectors.

PricewaterhouseCoopers in partnership with GHD will work with Infrastructure Australia to undertake an audit of infrastructure in Northern Australia. This will cover water, energy, transport, and communications infrastructure that are considered to be critical to the current and future development of Northern Australia.

The results of this audit will feed into the Australian Government's White Paper on Developing Northern Australia that will provide a platform to realising the full economic potential of the north.

Together these packages of work form part of the Australian Government's infrastructure agenda, ensuring that we have a comprehensive and robust infrastructure plan for Australia's future.
