Infrastructure Australia included WestConnex as a High Priority Project on the Infrastructure Priority List in April 2016.

WestConnex, a 33 kilometre motorway scheme, aims to increase capacity on Sydney’s road network and strengthen links to the network including the M4 and M5 motorways, and Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
