The table below shows the Stage 3 proposals that Infrastructure Australia has previously evaluated.
For each proposal, we publish a summary of our evaluation, which you can access in the table below. This outlines our assessment of the strategic fit of the proposal, the costs and benefits the proposal offers for Australians, and the deliverability of the proposal.

A number of business cases evaluated by Infrastructure Australia have been publicly released, view all available business cases.
The business case considers constructing a pipeline between the Burdekin River and the Haughton pump station to supplement water supply for Townsville. A stage 1 pipeline, between the Haughton pump station and the Ross River Dam (via the Toonpan Outlet), is currently under construction.

The North East Rail Line project is to upgrade rail track from Melbourne to Albury/Wodonga to a Victorian Class 2 performance standard. It includes upgrading supporting rail infrastructure.

The Bindoon Bypass project is to construct a western bypass of Bindoon along the Great Northern Highway, in the Shire of Chittering, north-west of Perth. The bypass would be a two-lane highway, comprising 61.6 km of new highway and 4.4 km of improvements to the existing Great Northern Highway.

The Walkerston Bypass Project is for a 10-kilometre link between the Peak Downs Highway and the Mackay Ring Road to bypass Walkerston and provide a more efficient link from the northern Bowen Basin to Mackay.

The Bruce Highway Maroochydore Road Interchange Project aims to address the congestion and safety issues at both interchanges by upgrading the Maroochydore Road interchange, reconfiguring entry and exit ramps at Mons Road, constructing new service roads and widening the Mons Road underpass.
