This major link has been on Infrastructure Australia's national priority list, as a project with real potential, for some time. It is especially significant as it will create an alternative to the Westgate Bridge.

Infrastructure Australia has recently been provided with an interim business case for Stage 2 of the project by the Victorian Government and welcomes the opportunity to review the project submission.

Infrastructure Australia appreciates the vision and planning behind nationally significant projects like the full East-West link. Infrastructure Australia therefore looks forward to commenting further in due course.”
