The Australian Government has announced two new appointments to the Board of Infrastructure Australia.

Mr John Ellice-Flint and Ms Gabrielle Trainor begin their three-year terms with immediate effect.

“I am pleased to welcome both Mr Ellice-Flint and Ms Trainor to the IA Board and look forward to their valuable contribution,” said Infrastructure Australia Chairman Mark Birrell.

“Both members bring decades of infrastructure experience across the resources, mining and transport sectors and will add to the depth and breadth of sectoral knowledge and experience of the Board.”

Mr Ellice-Flint's deep international and domestic experience in the resources and mining sector—most recently across energy and gas—will provide valuable insight to the board on the complex issues of regulation and supply.

Ms Trainor's extensive experience in the transport and urban development sectors both within the public service and industry will contribute further to the depth of knowledge of the board in these important areas.

Mr Birrell said Mr Ellice-Flint's and Ms Trainor's appointments complete the Infrastructure Australia Board membership.

“The board looks forward to welcoming both members as we progress our strategic policy development and project assessments over the coming months, especially our work on the 15-year national infrastructure plan.”
