The Goorganga and Myrtle Creek sections of the Bruce Highway form part of the National Land Transport Network and are a key link for Queensland’s tourism market and national freight.
These sections of the Bruce Highway currently have poor reliability and connectivity between December to March due to limited flood immunity.
The project aims to address deficiencies in flood immunity, travel-time reliability, connectivity and safety.
The Australian Government has committed $188 million to the Goorganga Plains section of the project.
