In February 2011, Infrastructure Australia assessed the Oakajee Port initiative, in Geraldton Western Australia, as ‘Threshold’.

The West Australian Government has provided a draft business case for the construction of a port at Oakajee. The initiative was confirmed to be worthy of further consideration, pending feasibility studies and further information.
