Publication Date
01 June 2012

This paper updates Infrastructure Australia's 2011 National Land Freight Strategy discussion paper, which proposed the establishment of a national land freight strategy — a partnership between the Commonwealth, state, territory and local governments and industry to drive efficient and sustainable freight logistics.

Infrastructure Australia received more than 70 formal submissions from the freight industry, industry, business and infrastructure groups, local government and resident groups in response to the 2011 discussion paper. Infrastructure Australia also consulted further with industry and government officials.

This report provides information on developments since the release of the discussion paper and responds to key issues raised in submissions and other consultation.
