This report explores issues relating to infrastructure debt capital market financing — in particular, the long-term project bond market for greenfield infrastructure.
The report analyses feedback from an infrastructure debt policy options consultation paper and three industry workshops that examined policy options to address temporary, sector specific, systemic and broader corporate bond market problems. It was suggested that the findings of the review could feed into other reviews being conducted by the government, including the Productivity Commission Inquiry into Public Infrastructure, the National Commission of Audit, the Tax White Paper and the Financial System Inquiry.
